There are two issues I have with Outlook 2013 that are also discussed in other forums but have not been properly addressed by Microsoft.
Diane, specifically, you might know how to get these issues attention at MS? After validating, of course:
Both issues are IMAP (Gmail).
1. Message Flag

Both issues are IMAP (Gmail).
1. Message Flag
When I set a message flag on Gmail (webmail) it does not become flagged in Outlook. However, if I flag a message in Outlook, it does become flagged in Gmail. It appears that Outlook will set (or remove) flags from the IMAP server - but it NEVER reads the flags to set/remove. Other clients work as expected.
2. Attachment icon (paper clip)
Some messages containing attachments in the inbox do not display the attachment icon in the list of messages. If I move one of the offending messages to another (non-IMAP) folder, the icon appears - but moving it back to the IMAP folder causes it to disappear.
Oddly, I can sort or filter messages for attachments, and these offending messages are included in the results - but the paper clip does not appear.
I cannot find a common cause, it happens with different attachment types, seemingly randomly.
Other clients synchronizing with the IMAP server display an attachment icon as expected.
