    Locate Cause of Deleted Meeting

We are using Outlook 2010 on Exchange 2010 servers. I have a client who was the organizer of a recurring meeting via their Delegate. Somehow the meeting was found in their Recover Deleted Items folder, and I was able to restore it back to their calendar. However, the meeting was still on the...

    Rebuilding OST - Any Concerns?

Microsoft seems to recommend simply deleting and letting Outlook 2010 rebuild the OST file upon restart, if there are any issues with the file or profile per http://support.microsoft.com/kb/983036. I have used scanpst.exe, but as they mention it can take quite some time. Are there any concerns...

Delegate cannot view meetings marked Private by Another Chairperson

I appreciate the offer, but most of theses executives are either mobile or don't get in Outlook much, so it wouldn't help much.

Delegate cannot view meetings marked Private by Another Chairperson

So here is the entire write up I created to document this situation: So here is what we had to write up to deal with this feature. When another person sends a meeting invitation marked as private to the Delegator, the Delegate does not have access to view these items as it is private between...

Delegate cannot view meetings marked Private by Another Chairperson

We are not offering Full Access as an option, so that's out of the question. We just explained that it is a feature of Outlook, and the delegator will either have to ask the chairperson why it's private, or will have to manage the meeting themselves, or will have to accept it and remove the...

Delegate cannot view meetings marked Private by Another Chairperson

Unless you have an opposing view or another workaround suggestion, I did receive an answer to this question in the TechNet forums. I still question that if she has access to his private meetings, why would she not be able to view this private meeting as well, but then I also do kind of...

She can see it...

Admin cannot view full room calendar permissions

Any luck on your end? I'm still researching and trying different things, but no luck so far. Today I even had trouble viewing the Default room calendar access correctly using PowerShell. My counterpart could view it in Outlook and change it just fine, but for me it shows Default as None yet...

I see all four options on my own Outlook calendar permissions, but if I look at any other calendar, room or person, I only get two options.

Admin cannot view full room calendar permissions

I have full access administration to all our room calendars, and yet if I open a room calendar in Outlook and view the Properties, Permissions the Default access only shows two Read options available as shown below: None and Full Details. Whereas if another Admin (#2) views the permissions it...

    Macros for Delegate Issues?

I believe Microsoft fixed this issue as follows, unless you are describing a different issue: You use Outlook 2010 and are a delegate for your manager. An email message that you send on behalf of your manager is saved in your Sent Items folder not His Sent Items folder. MS has provided a...

    Macros for Delegate Issues?

OK, yes it worked once I set it up with the Delegate I was assisting. I used the Exchange Display Name as you said, which pointed it to the correct person's Drafts folder. Thank you very much.
