    Outlook 2010 Transition Office365 Home

Sorry for my cross-posting. My reply above references the other thread, which is the present situation. I'm not sure how to fix that - it will be confusing. The other thread: Thread watched Outlook 365 - import/attach PST file that used POP3

    Outlook 2010 Transition Office365 Home

Thanks for the response, Diane. I will explain - not really complicated, and probably quite common. I have all the PST files safely stored (I am not concerned about the .ost), and have them documented (ie, i know when, where, who owned them, etc). I have Office 365 on 2 computers, and what I...

I have not progressed since posting that in 02/2020 - have recently updated the problem description - asking for help.

    Outlook 365 - import/attach PST file that used POP3

For several years, we were using desktop Outlook (2010, 2013) with our respective outlook.com emails, and also a couple of historic POP3-connected emails from our ISP, which had the ISP's email address (after the @). Example, Fred_NurK@iinet.net.au. This was always a bit of a process if a...

    Outlook 2010 Transition Office365 Home

More - some online research, last posts are in 2015 - answers.micrsoft.com, shortened here https://bit.ly/3cj4g8c This seems to have been successful, but is a bit of work. I wouldn't be concerned about duplicates, but not sure about Contacts and Calendars - largely the advice of Karl...

    Outlook 2010 Transition Office365 Home

Partner's system - Computer effectively dead - won't recognize graphics cards, though the new GeForce GT710 works fine in other desktops. But the SSD is all OK. I now have a new computer up and running (a Dell Optiplex) but fitting another SSD into that small box is not something I want to do...

    Outlook 2013 Gmail within Outlook

Possibly because of increased security both ends (Outlook, gmail) I can no longer send on behalf of my gmail account through Outlook 2013. I get a big failure message (email reply) from the Outlook Exchange server. I have read a couple of threads in these forums that were created in 2014 or...

    Junk Mail and PersonMetadata

PersonMetaData - do these (Outlook system objects) get created for those senders who are obviously JUNK / SPAM (marked as such by Outlook, or later by me)? I don't know how I could identify those that are associated with the spam, but if they are created, would it not be a good idea to delete...

    Junk Mail and PersonMetadata

I have been getting (for months) a huge number of junk emails - bitcoin, cars, grocery - a wide range, sometimes identified with a common sender address (junk emailing house). Obviously, my address is being passed around or sold. In the last 2 days, 26 that I have marked as Junk, then deleted...

IMAP - are emails dynamically fetched from server as required?

Thanks. I thouht it might be Microsoft Exchange only. It is appreciated by me - maybe not by those who have limited data allowance from their ISP (few with that restriction, I think).

IMAP - are emails dynamically fetched from server as required?

For my outlook.com email account running on Outlook 2013 desktop, I notice that I can search for information in emails and get a message that the search is continuing at the server, and the emails if found are then fetched to the appropriate folder on my desktop (or Windows 10 laptop, tablet...

Convert POP3 account (PST) to IMAP (.OST)

Thanks Diane. I think Robert will take it from here - we have been talking about a further thing he wants to do, which is to keep the email .ost or .pst size for the new emails to a minimum on his SSD, which has limited space (that will be the .ost for IMAP, new emails) . He has yet to create...

Convert POP3 account (PST) to IMAP (.OST)

I have a friend with a long-time account on Outlook Desktop (2013 or 2016 - not sure), his computer is now running Windows 10 - with Australian ISP Telstra (bigpond.com). His email connection is using POP3, and he organized his email into a number of folders within Outlook. He has been advised...

Outlook 2013 Send problem - 'Not Responding' forever

All fixed - Install >> Repair did the trick, nothing lost. Similarly, the PDF-XChange Install >> Change >> Repair fixed the Outlook Preview within Outlook. So, I caused myself problems from start to finish but all back to as it was, and I have learnt something about Exchange caching.

Outlook 2013 Send problem - 'Not Responding' forever

No, I am not in safe mode. When trying everything but the fix you indicated, I was unsure what unchecking vs Remove button actually meant and used REMOVE - all the Microsoft online info I read, and am reading now, lead me to believe that these were mainly default Microsoft Add-ins and should...
