I'm having this same issue. I've tried running Scanpst on the OST file, and using putting Outlook in Offline mode, and using Clean Mail to delete emails larger than 20MB. The error message keeps coming back anytime we try to send an email, whether it has an attachment or not. We're getting these...
I too wish I could come up with a solution for this problem. I have others in the office that are having the same issue, but they're okay with switching folders to retrieve new emails. They also don't have the title of VP, which is the computer I switched over to 2016.
Speaking of Outlook 2016...
Thanks Diane. This worked. I did have to do one more step to get it to work, and that was to enable macros.
While in Outlook select File > Options > Trust Center > Trust Center Settings > Macro Settings > Seelct "Enable all macros..." > Tick "Apply macro security..." > OK.
Does anyone know if this code works with Outlook 2016? I've got a VP that tends to send emails out without a subject, and he's getting tired of the no subject warning message.
I've tried what your suggesting. It's on the same computer, but somehow the NK2 didn't take. I had a L2 Microsoft Office tech help me with it after we spent 6 hours Friday trying to fix an install. I could try importing an older NK2 from another computer, but it's 3 years old, so it wouldn't be...
On one of our systems, I recently upgraded from Outlook 2007 to Outlook 2016. He did not keep up his address book, instead he just let the system collect the addresses, and he used the Auto-Complete List feature in Outlook to select his address. Through the upgrade, that list has somehow...
I recently upgraded a computer to Outlook 2016. We use IMAP. When trying to create new subfolders, it appears in the list with the pre-existing subfolders on that email account. The problem I'm facing, the new subfolder doesn't appear on different email clients (Thunderbird, webmail, or iPhone)...
PROBLEM SOLVED (SORT OF) ;)
I ended up purchasing and installing Outlook 2016. For some reason, it actually syncs properly with Godaddy's IMAP servers. I'm not having the same issues that I was experiencing with Outlook 2007 and 2010. I'm receiving emails in Outlook, just as fast as...
That only worked for a little bit for me. Just like you, I'm having to change folders to see if I have any new email. I'm using IMAP on GoDaddy, but without SSL.
I spoke too soon. It's been 36 minutes since I last sent myself a test message, and the new emails are no longer syncing correctly in Outlook 2010. I thought renaming the SRS had fixed the issue, but it was only for a short while. Is it possible something is corrupting the SRS file?
I'm too wondering about how the emails are moved to the server. Are they just being moved into a standard network folder, or are they moved to an Outlook/Exchange folder?
I'm assuming that the emails are just getting copied over to a folder on the server, for retrieval later. I didn't realize...
