Outlook.com birthdays show up 1 day late on iPhone contacts list

Thanks, Diane. Do you know whether the recently announced Outlook.com Calendar beta is just a visual redesign, or is it a more comprehensive overall that could potentially fix some issues/bugs?

Outlook.com birthdays show up 1 day late on iPhone contacts list

It’s been about 48 hours since I turned my Birthday Calendar back on, but there are still no entries in the Birthday Calendar. The Birthday Calendar is present in both Outlook.com and Outlook 2016, but is blank. All the underlying birth date data exists in the People section of Outlook.com...

    Outlook.com cannot edit some contacts

Many thanks. Could the fact I cannot edit many of the birth dates in Outlook.com be related to this? As a general point, is it best practice to only make edits of contacts/calendar in Outlook.com, rather than the desktop Outlook 2016 (and just treat Outlook 2016 as a “view” of the info)?

Outlook.com birthdays show up 1 day late on iPhone contacts list

Many thanks Diane. Should I expect Exchange to rebuild the Birthday events in the next 24 hours or so?

    Outlook.com cannot edit some contacts

No I cannot update them later. I have been attempting all edits in Outlook.com, rather than desktop Outlook 2016. I am assuming your question normal/old contact form etc relates to edits in Outlook 2016? I did today try to change a birth date in Outlook 2016 and that change was accepted...

Outlook.com birthdays show up 1 day late on iPhone contacts list

Before answering your questions, I now have a bigger Birthday Calendar issue. In an attempt to fix this issue, I went into the Outlook.com calendar and selected Options > Birthday Calendar and selected Turn Off The Birthday Calendar and Saved this. I then selected Turn On The Birthday Calendar...

Outlook.com birthdays show up 1 day late on iPhone contacts list

Many birthday dates show up 1 day late on my iPhone 8 (iOS11) default contacts list, although they show up correctly on the iPhone calendar. For example a birthday correctly entered in Outlook.com for March 8 1995 would display in iPhone contacts as March 9 1995, but would appear correctly on...

    Outlook.com cannot edit some contacts

When I try to edit contact details, I go to save my changes I get the message "The contact cannot be updated right now. Please try again later." This does not happen on all my contacts but many of them. The issue has persisted for weeks/months. Any idea how to fix it?

Error after enabling 2-step authentication in Outlook.com/Outlook 2013

I had an Outlook.com account set up as an Exchange ActiveSync (EAS) account in Outlook 2013. This afternoon I decided to set up 2-step verification on my Outlook.com account. As directed I generated an App password to use in Outlook 2013, and entered this into the Password box in Outlook...

Outlook.com set up as EAS in Outlook 2013 – Emails can take up to 25 minutes to arrive

Thanks Diane. Your patience is much appreciated. I have reduced to 2 the number of EAS accounts I am running in Outlook 2013. I also removed and re-added the main account that had all the duplicates. Testing was a mixture of some delays and some instant arrivals. However, a new problem has...

Outlook.com set up as EAS in Outlook 2013 – Emails can take up to 25 minutes to arrive

Thanks, Diane. My Outlook 2013 setup post this initial testing will be: 1) Default/Main Outlook.com Account (setup as EAS and IMAP to provide mirror for Drafts, etc) 2) Secondary Outlook.com Account to be used for online purchases/admin (setup as EAS and IMAP to provide mirror for Drafts...

Outlook.com set up as EAS in Outlook 2013 – Emails can take up to 25 minutes to arrive

Update. I remembered I had another test Outlook.com account set up as EAS in Outlook 2013. I removed and re-added it to see if this fixed the issue. Unfortunately it did not solve the delayed delivery of email issue. The delays vary. Yesterday afternoon they were 6-15 minutes. This morning...

Outlook.com set up as EAS in Outlook 2013 – Emails can take up to 25 minutes to arrive

Thanks, Diane. Hearing direct from the product team would be fantastic and at least resolve whether this issue may eventually be fixed (or indeed whether they are aware of this particular issue). I was planning on using one Outlook.com account for email, contacts and calendar for...

Outlook.com set up as EAS in Outlook 2013 – Emails can take up to 25 minutes to arrive

Diane Thanks for all your help in setting up my Outlook.com in Outlook 2013 using EAS. Calendar and Contacts seems to sync fine between the two. I’m left with one major problem in that some emails arrive immediately but many others are delayed by 10, 15, 25 minutes etc (at random). This...

Drafts in Outlook 2013/Outlook.com with EAS & IMAP

Diane. The Drafts messages I imported to the IMAP profile are all Read Only for some reason. I saw a post from you about editing attachments which suggested adding “Edit Message” to the Quick Access Toolbar. This seems to enable me to now edit the body of the message. However, it does not...
