    Junk Mail and PersonMetadata

PersonMetaData - do these (Outlook system objects) get created for those senders who are obviously JUNK / SPAM (marked as such by Outlook, or later by me)? I don't know how I could identify those that are associated with the spam, but if they are created, would it not be a good idea to delete...

    Junk Mail and PersonMetadata

I have been getting (for months) a huge number of junk emails - bitcoin, cars, grocery - a wide range, sometimes identified with a common sender address (junk emailing house). Obviously, my address is being passed around or sold. In the last 2 days, 26 that I have marked as Junk, then deleted...

IMAP - are emails dynamically fetched from server as required?

Thanks. I thouht it might be Microsoft Exchange only. It is appreciated by me - maybe not by those who have limited data allowance from their ISP (few with that restriction, I think).

IMAP - are emails dynamically fetched from server as required?

For my outlook.com email account running on Outlook 2013 desktop, I notice that I can search for information in emails and get a message that the search is continuing at the server, and the emails if found are then fetched to the appropriate folder on my desktop (or Windows 10 laptop, tablet...

Convert POP3 account (PST) to IMAP (.OST)

Thanks Diane. I think Robert will take it from here - we have been talking about a further thing he wants to do, which is to keep the email .ost or .pst size for the new emails to a minimum on his SSD, which has limited space (that will be the .ost for IMAP, new emails) . He has yet to create...

Convert POP3 account (PST) to IMAP (.OST)

I have a friend with a long-time account on Outlook Desktop (2013 or 2016 - not sure), his computer is now running Windows 10 - with Australian ISP Telstra (bigpond.com). His email connection is using POP3, and he organized his email into a number of folders within Outlook. He has been advised...

Outlook 2013 Send problem - 'Not Responding' forever

All fixed - Install >> Repair did the trick, nothing lost. Similarly, the PDF-XChange Install >> Change >> Repair fixed the Outlook Preview within Outlook. So, I caused myself problems from start to finish but all back to as it was, and I have learnt something about Exchange caching.

Outlook 2013 Send problem - 'Not Responding' forever

No, I am not in safe mode. When trying everything but the fix you indicated, I was unsure what unchecking vs Remove button actually meant and used REMOVE - all the Microsoft online info I read, and am reading now, lead me to believe that these were mainly default Microsoft Add-ins and should...

Outlook 2013 Send problem - 'Not Responding' forever

OK, I have set both accounts back to Cached Mode, slider at All. This will show all my past emails? A test email now works OK. Not sure how I get back the Addins, but that's a minor problem now that I can actually send an email from desktop Outlook. Thanks, again.

Outlook 2013 Send problem - 'Not Responding' forever

Safe mode: still Not Responding with a very simple email to self; had to kill Outlook again. Will delete the SRS file again, but I am out of ideas at this stage.

Outlook 2013 Send problem - 'Not Responding' forever

Latest: deleted the SRS file, restarted Outlook - same problem. I will repeat this, but restart Windows 10 before restarting Outlook 2013 (not hopeful of a remedy, however).

Outlook 2013 Send problem - 'Not Responding' forever

More info: 1. changed the offline settings / Cached Exchange Mode to OFF (ie, to have all emails available at my desktop) 2. checked the Office 365 Service status website Office 365 Service Status and all OK 3. changed the default account to send email, from the outlook.com account to the...

Outlook 2013 Send problem - 'Not Responding' forever

I have had this problem only since changing the setting for exchange caching to OFF, after finding that in the past week or so it had been (unknown to me) set ON, to 12 months only. When attempting to reply to an email, send an email - even a text-only short one to myself, there is an unending...

Outlook 2013 Rules - (client only)

I have looked at the circumstances that cause the marking of a rule as Client Only, but they do not seem to be applicable. I don't have a PST involved and not playing a sound. One of the rules is intended to act on emails that are forwarded from another domain (not my outlook.com email address)...

Outlook 2013 Any way to move .OST file to new system?

OK, as I thought. Some months ago, you recommended using Outlook 32-bit rather than 64-bit, I think? Now that I have to re-install everything, and do have both 32- and 64-bit for Office 2013 - what would you say?

Outlook 2013 Any way to move .OST file to new system?

Thanks Diane. One comment there which you replied to concerns profiles made with ActiveSync. My 2 outlook accounts were initially under ActiveSync but I assume that when (months ago) they were transitioned to Exchange Server, the procedure including the registry setting are OK as the article is...

Outlook 2013 Any way to move .OST file to new system?

I have Outlook 2013 on a SSD boot drive (Windows 10 Pro 64-bit, latest Creators Update etc), running 2 outlook.com accounts - both now working well with Microsoft Exchange. I would like to move (copy) the two Outlook .ost files onto another newly-created Windows 10 Pro SSD drive - for the...

Outlook 2013 How do I delete a Calendar?

I have 3 calendars (in addition to the Birthdays) in my outlook.com accounts - which appear to be connected to the containers associated with email accounts me@outlook.com, me@hotmail.com, and to a PST file that I dump various mail into. The PST file is named 2016.pst, and so the associated...

Outlook on Windows Phone - compressed images .emz

This problem seems to have only commenced in the last few weeks (I notice that it was discussed in 2009). It is a problem only because the other user is unsure if there are pictures that should be viewed, and can't be - eg, maps to guide direction. Two phones with Outlook installed, with OS...
