Any reason why my outlook contacts in business card view has every card truncated? Thanks

Wierd thing has just started happening. When I go to click on a recurring appointment , the box that normally pops up to ask "do you want open the series or this occurence" does pop up but keeps opening an closing in an almost infinite loop. You can not stop it except by bringing up windows...
