BCM: Email attachments are not shown

Confirmed. A file can be dragged and dropped into the contacts Business Notes on their contact page.

BCM: Email attachments are not shown

A work around as stated in this forum : If an attachment is pertinent to a business contact or a project and there is concern that the original email may be deleted at some point in the future, save the email to the system and add it into the Communication Notes section as a file attachment...

BCM: Email attachments are not shown

Hmmm... that IS a little frustrating. To be more clear, BCM does track your emails to and from a contact with the attachment but it loses the attachment link/notification when the original email has been deleted. In other words, there is no way to know if an old deleted email referenced a...

BCM 2007 to Outlook 2010 with no BCM - need contacts imported

Is there any reason why you couldn't install BCM 2010 and connect to the BCM 2007 server to collect those contacts? This link should send you in the right direction to download it. Aside from that, I'm not sure you'd be able to access the BCM 2007 server easily to retrieve those contacts.

    Sharing Business contact manager

Gary, Let me try to take a stab at providing you with some information that I've gathered over the last couple of week while working with BCM 2010... The only practical way for both of you to access BCM in real time is to do so through a networked connection (I don't really see any CRM...

    Where is the BCM SDK??

This site says there is a BCM SDK available for download. However, the link just brings me to the main Microsoft Download Center and I can't seem to be able to search for the SDK at all. Does anyone have a mirror to it or know where it can be downloaded?

[SOLVED] Accessing User Defined Fields in BCM Database part 1

I have discovered the pass-through query! This allows a user, after setting up a DNS connection to the SQL Server, to connect directly to the BCM tables and pass more robust SQL Commands without having the JET Engine try to process it for you. Commands like CAST() and CONVERT are then able to...

Change Columns of Linked Accounts and Business Contacts

I can't seem to figure out a way to change the columns that are visible in the Business Project forms Linked Accounts and Contacts (or any other linked relationships that may be created). The reason I need to do this personally is due to wanting to see a "Classification" or Job Title that is...

[SOLVED] Search by User-Defined Relationship Field

I now realize that this isn't necessary as any contacts would should on the parent form that it's linked to. In my case, searching by linked project number is as easy as clicking on the project itself and viewing the contacts associated with the project. 6 of 1, half a dozen of the other.

Business Contact Manager (BCM) causing Outlook crash loop

If this is happening before Outlook has a chance to load (ie. When Outlook is attempting to initialize Add-Ins), I found that the only way to fix this issue was to fully uninstall all .Net Frameworks from my machine, install BCM and reinstall any other required .Net Frameworks. The BCM...

[SOLVED] Search by User-Defined Relationship Field

How/Why is this not possible? Not only does it appear that you can not search by this field, but you cannot add this field to as a column in the contact Contact Management view. Or rather, you can add it but it shows no values. The more I use BCM, the more frustrating it becomes.

[SOLVED] Accessing User Defined Fields in BCM Database part 1

Excellent post! This helped a heap in getting myself connected between the SQL Server and MS Access 2010. I did however run into a problem with the CAST statement in the Access query when it came to a currency datatype. A CStr() worked fine in converting the OLE Object to plain text but it's...
