I think I fixed it.....

Ok, I found it. It was set to leave messages on the server. However, I do not see inbound messages on the server's webmail interface either. So inbound emails to this account are not being displayed on the server's GUI or in Outlook, but they are going to gmail. Maddening.....

yes I saw that.....but when I click edit...it doesn't return an option to leave messages on the server that I can see....it'll let me choose Send As....

Ok, wait.....I'm confused. Outlook is setup for a roadrunner POP account. Gmail is setup to pull from that acct as well. Gmail sees all pop emails from this account, while Outlook doesn't display them at all. Outlook should be displaying them first, I would think, yes? Outlook isn't getting...

bump........any ideas on why Outlook 13 might not be displaying inbound POP emails? Everything I find online when I search regards IMAP......

Pop acct is setup to leave a copy of messages on the server, and Gmail is sucking emails off the server to display them on the mobile device, but Outlook is not showing them. Account settings are correct...test emails are going to the mobile device. Outbound emails from Outlook are passing...

When trying to import to or export from Outlook 13, it tells me failed...messaging interfaces have returned unknown error.....halp!

HALP! I knew this was gonna happen......How do I setup my contacts to display the way they were displayed in Outlook 03? I had a field entitled "File As" and that's how they were listed. Now all these "people" are listed here and there doesn't seem to be any method to the madness!

This is a new setup here on a Win7 HP machine, 6G ram, 2G processor. I have the POP account setup, and I can send emails. It does indicate new emails as they come in, playing the sound and showing the desktop notification...... it just doesn't show them to me in the inbox.

Ok, so I started outlook 13 in the safe mode and it starts right up. The 03 version didn't do that. It was slow starting up either way. So given that, I went to manage the add-ins, and there was a whole list of stuff that I shut off....and whaddya know....now it works. Thanks for your help.

Okay I appreciate your help. I'll try it tomorrow. If a new profile and a new version doesn't correct the problem, I don't know if there's anything else to try.
