Good Day

We have an Exchange 2007 SP1 CCR and SCR ENVIROMENT running on Windows 2003

enterprise R2 /w SP2 , lately we have noticed that transaction logs are

accumulating ( more than 2 weeks old ) in the active CCR node and the SCR

passive target, we take full backup every week on thursday using ntbackup.

Please advice as soon as possible

And the full weekly backup completes without errors/warnings?

Is it log files for particular storage groups that doesn't truncate?

Is it all Storage Group Tran Logs or just a subset/singular?

NTBackup reporting any issues? You should see ESE report a successful backup

in Event Viewer and then confirmation of the purging of the logs.

Try to be more specific. If the backup of a storage group succeeds, the

logs will be truncated. If you have more than one storage group, is the

issue just one or all of them. (Hint: the logs for each SG are prefixed

E0n, where n is a one up numbering for SGs). Do you see anything in the

application log that would lead you to believe backups for a specific

storage group are failing?

Re: Exchange 2007 SP1 transaction logs accumulating in CCR and SC

Ntbackup reports no errors on backup of all storage group, logs are

accumulating in all storage groups and not a specfic storage group
