Hi all,

Have a brand new IBM SBS 2003 R2 standard box that has this niggling issue.

About once a month the client reports that Outlook is "trying to connect to

to exchange".

When I check I see the stores are still mounted but if I try and restart the

EIS it takes ages before failing and then gets stuck in the state of

"stopping". I can't restart it or System attendant.

Restarting the server resolves the issue but this is not an acceptable

solution. We are running Trend Worry Free but have the Exchange folders

excluded from scanning.

No apparent errors in the logs.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Billy

Hi - please post all SBS questions in microsoft.public.windows.server.sbs

even if you also *crosspost* to other groups. SBS is an all in one suite

and does many things differently. I'm setting up this reply to crosspost

there for your convenience this time.

Is Exchange 2003 SP2 installed? SBS2003 SP1? Windows 2003 SP2? I suggest

you download and run both the Exchange BPA and the SBSBPA to see what they

find.
