how to access BCM database after system restore

I do regular backups of my PC using a disk image software. My hardrive

recently had to be replaced due to to an unrecovereable error but I have

managed to restore the files. However, the image is not stable, so althought

I can access data, I have not been able to restore the PC "to its previous

stable state".

I have the BCM files from drive:\Documents and Settings\user\Local

Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Business Contact Manager on my back

updrive as "normal, unpacked files", but I can not get BCM to see these. I

have copies these files to the reinstalled laptop (i.e. c: drive), but

outlook still does not see the database.

How can I get BCM to see the databese? Is there something I need to do

through SQL?

Many thanks,

Andrew

QUOTE:

Use SQL Server configuration manager from SQL Server 2005 program

goups...There select sql server 2005 services and choose sql server service

and see the Logon account.

If the account is not local system then change it to Local system and then

restart the service and see if the attch works. If it works then give the

necessary previlages to the

toher account and restart the service and see if the attach works fromm D

Drive..

Thanks
