I'm trying to delete a task I have. My company recently changed over from

Novell Groupwise and I think this task was created in that product.

I get the following error when I try to delete it.

"The item cannot be saved in this folder. The folder may have been deleted

or moved. Or, you may not have appropriate permissions for this folder.

Right-click the folder, and then click Properties to check your permissions

for this folder."

I'm not sure what folder it's referring too, so that I can check

permissions. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks

Try holding down the Shift key when you try to delete it.

Hi Brian,

I'm having the same problem, though I think mine has more to do with installing iCloud (the problem is on an iCloud folder), and when I hit shift + delete, all I get us "unknown error." Do you know how to delete a task that just won't go away?

Thanks,

David

P.S. The task doesn't show up on the iCloud or on my iPhone, only in Outlook

I don't think recreating the calendar is going to help with this problem. I would probably try deleting the task with MFCMAPI though, especially if it is only in Outlook's folders, not in the iCloud files in your outlook profile.

The basics are here How to Delete Stuck Read Receipts - Slipstick Systems - you'll need to find the tasks folder and look in it.
