POP isn't the issue - it's SMTP relay, which you would need to allow for

authenticated clients. But pulling back, I have to ask why you're trying to

configure this client to use POP? Exchange is a complete waste if that's all

you plan to use it for.

Configure the client to use RCP over HTTP (Outlook Anywhere). You should

also consider getting a trusted 3rd party UCC / SAN certificate since you've

got Exchange 2007 - self-signed is horrid to support.

Thanks for the update Lanwench but the reason behind why i am configuring him

on POP account is; he is already using an exchange account of different

domain and he dont want to configure a diff. profile to fetch mail from our

server. So moral of the story is that we can't configure two RPC over http

(outlook anywhere) on a same profile you might be knowing this fact.

So now can you please tell me how to do this "it's SMTP relay, which you

would need to allow for authenticated clients" in my exchange server because

i am not able to figure it out.

Thanks in advance

Thanks

OK. Then I'd have him use OWA or I'd set up a forward to his other address.

I still wouldn't enable POP.

See if

http://www.petri.co.il/authenticated-or-anonymous-smtp-relay-with-exchange-2007.htm

helps. You want authenticated, not anonymous.
