We use task to keep track of projects. One user originates task and assigns the task. Second user accepts task and now owns it. The task status is not being updated on the originators machine. All task show but with no status updates and a message displays saying waiting for update from recipient.

When the task was accepted the owners e-mail was put in the contact field. We can send status reports but nothing updates the task on the originators machine even if completed.

The task folder is shared and both machines have access. The workstations are set up in a work group with a central machine used for shared folders. The Exchange is a remote exchange service.

I expected that the originator would get an e-mail status update to accept or that the task on their machine would get updated. Is there some kind of link that we do not have set up?.

What folder is the task in? It needs to be in the default task folder for updates to work.
