In outlook 2007, 2003, was possible to COPY an appointment using menu bar.

Has this feature been done away with in outlook 2010 Beta or am I missing

something simple here? Thanks.

No, you're not missing anything. For some reason they decided not to put in

the Copy/Paste commands in the main Outlook window by default.

CTRL+C copies the selected item(s) and CTRL+V will paste it.

If you are really missing the commands then you can customize the Ribbon to

show it or place the commands in the Quick Access Toolbar (QAT).

Right click anywhere on the Ribbon and choose Customize Quick Access

Toolbar... or Customize the Ribbon...

You can also use the Copy to Folder command which you can find by clicking

the Move button in the Ribbon when having an email message selected.

You can simply do a copy-paste of the calendar item (ctrl-C and ctrl-V) ...

;)
