None of these explanations seems to be working for me. I have since turned my
auto archive off, but since it was on I have lost quite a few emails stored
in one of my inbox subfolders. I have an outlook.pst file that is pretty big
but can not view it. How do I import those files back into my inbox or
subfolder for viewing as normal emails?

Don't import - open it using File, Open, Outlook Data file. If its too large
and is now corrupt, see

I also have the same issue and cannot seem to resolve it. I followed all the
tips you posted but still cannot see anything in the archive. To review:

I was unaware the default setting was going to archive my email every 14
days. As a result, I turned auto archive off when I noticed emails missing
from my inbox and sent mail folders. I tried to retrieve the emails that had
been auto archived and cannot see them. I do see the archive.pst, opened it,
and added it to my folder list. However, there is nothing in them. When I use
file -> open -> outlook data file to view the Outlook file, it opens
something called outlook today that I have never even seen before. I still am
not able to get emails that had been auto archived and restore them to my
personal folders. Can you help me?
