Have a home user Vista / Outlook 2007. Some messages are not visible

in the preview pane (such as messages from facebook).

When open the message it is blank, however when clicking reply message

is visible. Can also make the message visible by opening the message

and selecting...

Office Button > Editor Options > Display > and put a check in Hidden

Text.

Any ideas why the text is not visible in the normal preview pane? Have

tried changing format etc to no luck

Cheers

Virus scanners which integrate with Outlook have the tendency to corrupt the

message as well especially when they put in some promotional/informative

signature in the process. Disable/uninstall this integration and try again.

Cheers will look into that further.

I have found lots of info suggesting this and have come across in the

past. odd thing is only that handful of messages and why would the

text be visible upon selecting reply? Far as I see notification emails

from facebook contain only text and links, the links are active in the

reply so suggests to me is not the AV.

Will look into that option some more though, just in case.

Thanks

If only messages from certain senders are affected then it could be the

coding they use for the message is munged by an AV scanner. Its also

possible the styles on your system is messed up. However, my facebook

messages are always plain text - so unless you can set facebook to send html

formatting, its not a style or html code problem.
