error 0x80040600 sending and receiving reporter error

I am getting error 0x80040600 when I try to send/receive email, it looks like my messages are being received but at the very end I get the error message and the messages don't appear in my inbox. I hav tried the inbox repair tool but it dosen't find any errors an dosen't fix issue.
