Tried to do some other fixes, but after running the " Outlook /resetnavpane" command, my Outlook now presents the following warning message in Wndows 7 - " Do you want to allow the following program to make changes to this computer" " Program Name: Microsoft Office Outlook" It then offers an option to " Change when these notifications appear" along with detailed file information.

I have also changed the Outlook.exe properties security info to " full control" and nothing changes.

How do I get rid of this prompt without compromising the security of the computer?

Since I started having this problem my scrolling feature on my mouse pad has stopped working in Outlook only as well, any suggestions?

Try the following steps and check if the issue is resolved.

1) Press "windows + R" key to open the Run window

2) Now type in "%programfiles%\Microsoft Office\Office12" and press Enter

3) Look for "Outlook.exe"

4) Right click on the file and then click on "Run as Administrator"

Follow till step 3 given above and then right-click on Outlook / Outlook.exe

Select Properties from the context menu and then click on the Compatibility tab

Uncheck all the options on the Compatibility tab and select Apply then OK to restart Outlook normally
