How do I turn off or disable the "Either there is no default mail client..." reminder?

I use OE for my email and Outlook 2007 for Contacts and Calender. This is the way I want to keep it.

Recently I started getting the reminder from both programs about selecting each as the default mail client.

As long as I can check my mail from OE and use Outlook 2007 without either reminding me to select a default mail client I'll be happy.

Any ideas how to turn off the reminder or get it to stop asking?

WinXP Pro SP3

Outlook 2007

OE 6

Thanks :)

When you open Outlook as you have mentioned you receive a message box stating "Outlook is not currently your default program for E-mail, Calendar and Contacts. Would you like to make it the default program?"

Below that message locate the check box which reads as "Always perform this check when starting Microsoft Office Outlook".

Uncheck the check box when the message box appears for Outlook to fix this issue.

I do not get a check box. I only get the message even when Outlook is not open.
