Outlook 2007 recently stopped working and I have been unable to fix it. I get the message to run the inbox repair tool but to no avail.
I finally found the scanpst.exe file but it and the scanost.exe files show broken icons. I cannot find the .pst files anywhere. When I look in the place where they are supposed to be the appdata folder is not present.
Please help me! Everything had been fine and then "poof" it was all gone.
Thanks,

In a 64bit system: ( in a 32bit system the file is somewhere slightly different)

In run use D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12\scanpst.exe to get a Box asking which file to scan, put in the box the C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook (2).pst which is the error that appears as a reason for Outlook not working, and scan it, errors will be found, and the option to 'repair' will show, hit repair and that C:\Users\Administrator\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook (2).pst is repaired and you are back in action with Outlook Folks I am 78!!!
