Recently I had to do a recovery on my computer and I lost all my e-mails & e-mail addresses. Is there anyway to find them?

I have a Gateway computer, about 3-4 years old. My computer apparently crashed and I did the F11 as instructed. I was then asked if I wanted to do a backup which I did, both on the computer and on a DVD. Most of the data on my computer was recovered, however I can not find my e-mails or e-mail addresses/contacts. Any ideas how or if I can recover them?

They are in a pst. It's normally kept in a hidden folder in this location: C:\Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook
instructions to show hidden files are at http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/filepath.htm

If the backup system made an exact replica of the drive, browse the folders on the DVD.
