I have single server and AD domain controller in single box with Win2003 and Exch 2003.I have configured HTTP / RPC and working well with outlook connection from outside world using rpc over http . when I run outlook /rpcdiag , I was able to get 5 connection listed in with all connected through HTTPS .

Server………………conn type…

Exchge.domain.com    https

Exchge.domain.com    https

Exchge.domain.com    https

Exchge.domain.com    https

Exchge.domain.com    https

My issue comes now with new deployment . I have a domain controller with Win2000 in

one box and Ex 2003 with win 2003 with another box . I have configured the same , but

When I go for outlook /rpcdiag , I have 5 connection listed but first two display as TCP/IP kind of directory service , reset 3 display as https . now my out look does not connect from out side world using HTTPS , what was wrong ? and any fix ?

Server………………..conn type…

Controler.domain.com    tcp/ip

Controler.domain.com    tcp/ip

Exchge.domain.com       https

Exchge.domain.com       https

Exchge.domain.com       https

In order to able to use RPC/HTTP you need to have at least one local Windows 2003 DC/GC.

you have to use Windows 2003 DC .

but I want to ask a question here, I have done the same using my win2003 server and EX03 to let my outlook connect from outside without using VPN connection, but I have faced a problem in IIS, that is, my IIS server did not allow any conenction to EX03, it ask for Authentication or something like this, did you get the same problem when you configured your server? or do you have any idea about this issue?

Thx
