Hi,

We are creating mailbox using web base application in exchange 2007 server and our application runs on windows 2008 server.
When we logged in as Administrator(domain) we are able to create mail box( we are using Enable - Mailbox cmdlet) but when we logged in as Trustee i.e. a user who is in exchange recepient  we are not able to create mailbox and cmdlet return error as "The Windows cluster service encountered an error during function isNodeClustered".
If we add this trustee in domain admingroup everything works fine.

We are calling the cmdlet using C# component and calling C# component through DCOM exe.

We don't want to give Admin privileges to Trustee.
Any idea what minimum privileges we can give to trustee to resolve above issue?

Have you tried adding his account to the local administrator account ???
I know it will give him more privileges than required, but try it and let us know.......

Hi Mukesh,

Adding trustee to local administrator acount worked.
Can we give some less privileges than local admin?
Any idea what exactly fails here?

Hi,

If I uninstall 'Failover Clusetering' from pc where my app is installed my code works fine.
I don't have a cluster on my PC but my other app requires 'FailOver clusteting' installed on PC.
Any idea what cmdlet 'Enable-Mailbox..' is doing with clustering?

ABB
