Hi,

I am using Outlook 2007 connected to a Exchange server.
Mail are delivered to the exchange mailbox.
Is there a way for sent items to be saved to my PST file sent items folder instead of exhange mailbox sent items folder?
Or maybe a rule which will move all sent items to a folder in my PST file?

Thanks

Hi,

You can create a Outlook rule (client rule) to save a copy to your PST.

Outlook -> Tools -> Rules and Alerts.
New Rules -> Check message after sending (under Start from a Blank rule) -> next
do not select any condition under step 1: Select Condition -> click Next
Click Yes when prompted to apply rule on all message Sent.
in Step 1: Select Action select "Move a copy to the specified folder.
in step 2: Edit the rule description.. Select the Sent item folder under PST in the browser. -> click OK.
Do not select any Exception in Step 1: Select Exception.

Click Next and Finish.

This will save a copy of all sent item to your PST sent item provided that you already have a PST added in your outlook profile. remember that this is client only rule (obviously it will run only when Outlook is running)

You can also consider looking the below article but this will not save copy in PST so does not full fill your requirement.
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook/HA101642161033.aspx

There are no other settings to change your sent item default location until you change the default delivery location PST.

Thanks.
