Hi,

I created a stub using axis2 and i set the properties to create a calendar item as mentioned in http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa494190%28EXCHG.140%29.aspx. The soap request sent ot the server is as below,

<CreateItem SendMeetingInvitations="SendToAllAndSaveCopy" xmlns="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/messages" xmlns:typ="http://schemas.microsoft.com/exchange/services/2006/types" xmlns:xsi="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema-instance">

<SavedItemFolderId>

<typ:DistinguishedFolderId Id="calendar"/>

</SavedItemFolderId>

<Items>

<typ:Item xsi:type="typ:CalendarItemType">

<typ:Subject>CalendarItem:Test Meeting Request - 1</typ:Subject>

<typ:Body BodyType="Text">CalendarItem:This is a test request</typ:Body>

<typ:Start>2009-11-07T08:00:00.772Z</typ:Start>

<typ:End>2009-11-07T09:00:00.772Z</typ:End>

<typ:Location>CalendarItem:Test Meeting Location</typ:Location>

<typ:RequiredAttendees>

<typ:Attendee>

<typ:Mailbox>

<typ:Name>abc1@xyz.com</typ:Name>

<typ:EmailAddress>abc1@xyz.com</typ:EmailAddress>

<typ:RoutingType>SMTP</typ:RoutingType>

<typ:MailboxType>Mailbox</typ:MailboxType>

</typ:Mailbox>

</typ:Attendee>

<typ:Attendee>

<typ:Mailbox>

<typ:Name>abc2@xyz.com</typ:Name>

<typ:EmailAddress>abc2@xyz.com</typ:EmailAddress>

<typ:RoutingType>SMTP</typ:RoutingType>

<typ:MailboxType>Mailbox</typ:MailboxType>

</typ:Mailbox>

</typ:Attendee>

<typ:Attendee>

<typ:Mailbox>

<typ:Name>abc3@xyz.com</typ:Name>

<typ:EmailAddress>abc3@xyz.com</typ:EmailAddress>

<typ:RoutingType>SMTP</typ:RoutingType>

<typ:MailboxType>Mailbox</typ:MailboxType>

</typ:Mailbox>

</typ:Attendee>

</typ:RequiredAttendees>

</typ:Item>

</Items>

</CreateItem>

I receive a success response from the server alomg with the itemId and Changekey. But the calendar item is not created and no meeting request has gone out. When i change the folder to - Drafts, i can see a mail item getting created instead of a calendar item but i am not able to open the item as it is corrupted.

Could someone from Microsoft please tell what is being done wrong here.

Thanks,
Vivek

Hi Rajnish,

Thanks for the reply. I found the issue and fixed the same. The issue was with the Item element holding the calender type but it should have been a Calendar item directly.

Thanks,
Vivek
