Had a client on Windows XP, Outlook 2003, Exchange Server 2003 (only for Cal/Tasks)

Replaced his machine with a new one, Windows 7, Outlook 2007

When he relies to, or created a new mail to one or two LOCAL users on our Server, gets: Outlook 2007 - Sending Reported Error 0x80070057 one or more parameters are not valid

The mail hangs in the outbox.

I have recreated his profile. It does not happen to ALL the local users, and I have compared several accounts for differences, and note none.

Ideas?

What"s the mail account type, exchange (MAPI), POP3 or IMAP4?

Have the user exported the contact from GAL on the exchange server? (KB 238773)

Please hit the “To” button in the new mail, and then check the “E-mail Address” column of the contacts. Is it SMTP address, or some other format?

The issue will occur if the export from GAL creates “EX” email address instead of SMTP, the issue can be solved when export the contacts into excel and correct the “Email type” to SMTP, and the “Email address” to name@company.com format
