Do you get any error message when you try to sync?

Try creating a new Outlook profile using the steps mentioned in the article below and create a test contact or calendar item and try to sync.:

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/829918

If new profile works fine, open your old Outlook data file to do this,

1. Open Outlook in new profile->click File->open->Outlook data file->select Outlook.pst and click Open.

2. Click on File->Info->Account settings->Data file .

3. Select the second personal folder and set it as default.

4. Click ok.

5. Close and open Outlook and try to sync.
