Thanks for your quick reply Diane.

Yes, I have logged into the online publishing service and deleted my

calendar, done updates, restarted the computer etc etc. Same turn out. "The

Upload of Calendar Failed the server returned an error" If we only knew what

the 'error' was....can you help me?

Yes Brian,

That link did not work for me. I spent nearly an hour there before I found

this discussion thread...

Is there any help you can give me?

How long has it not been working? I know they are messing with the server as

they migrate MSN calendars to it so transient problems are not surprising

but they shouldn't last more than a day or two.

What firewall do you use?

FWIW, my calendar is working so its not a widespread problem - but I could

be hitting a different server that you are.

You said at first "there is no way" to reach Microsoft. Now you tell me that

you visited the "Contact Us" web page successfully. I know for a fact that

the phone numbers and the support via e-mail found there both work. So what

you said about "no way" to reach Microsoft can't be true. Sounds more like

"didn't try".

I'm afraid I can't do any better than Diane has done. I don't do much

publishing of my calendar. Microsoft, however, should be able to help. If

it's important enough to you to get your problem solved, you'll contact them.

I am getting the same message. I was able to give access to one person last

week. We wanted to see if it worked, but I now get the error message

whenever I try to upload or give permission to anyone else. I was planning

to contact the people who run the server in my office to see if that's the

problem. I will continue to watch this thread to see if you get any help and

will let you know how I make out.

Well, I spoke to my IT people and it is an internal thing. Because our

webmail server is not constantly connected to Microsoft, I get the server

error message. Apparently, our server intermittantly accesses the Microsoft

server. We use something like a POP3 account?? I don't know if that has

anything to do with it, but my IT people could offer no solution. I guess it

was just a fluke that the first time I tried, it worked. I have no

suggestions for you other than to check if it is a similar situation.

Do you have internet all the time? That's all you need to publish calendars.

It's possible your corporate firewall is blocking access to the microsoft

servers.

We do have internet all the time. I don't know about a firewall, but all

emails must go through our internal webmail server. Disclaimers are added

automatically, that sort of thing. But like the first poster, I get a server

error message when I try to upload the calendar (send - completed, receive -

completed, upload - failed...) and I cannot send an email granting

permission. Again, it gives a server error and the email won't even go. Do

you think I should try the Microsoft help desk?

are you getting the error before the email comes up or after you hit Send?

The process uploads the calendar to the then asks if you want to send an

invite. if you log into the calendar online (office.microsoft.com) do you

see the calendar?

I get this error msg after I hit send. "Error while preparing to send

sharing message. Server returned an error."

As far as seeing the calendar on line, I'm afraid I don't know where to

look, and the one person to whom I gave access hasn't been in for the last

couple of days, so I can't check if he is getting my current calendar. When

I first did it, he was able to bring up my calendar, but it only showed

"busy". I changed that option, but then always got an error when it

uploaded, so as of Wednesday, he was still just seeing busy.
