Outlook 2003 SP3: Error when accepting update to recurring meeting: "You have received a more recent

My boss sends an update to our weekly staff meeting. I click Accept. The following message appears: " You have received a more recent update to this meeting. Responding to this request will result in out-of-date information on your calendar. Are you sure you want to respond to this meeting?" I click Yes. Outlook appears to respond as expected, however the change does not appear on my calendar.

KB article 312350 addresses this for Outlook 2002. With Outlook 2003 SP3, all my DLLs are up-to-date as far as I can tell.

I am not the only one with this problem. Please address this ASAP.

What kind of email account is setup in outlook on the computer?

Try creating a new test meeting request and check if you are able to recreate the same issue.

If the issue is only with one meeting request that must be a corrupted meeting request due to frequent updates.


This seems to happen with old meetings, or ones that were updated by mobile devices. If the base meeting notice can't be corrected, can the accept button be made to function?
