I was having issues with Outlook 2007 on Windows 7 not starting up and so I used Outlook.exe /resetnavpane in the run window to fix it. Now Outlook starts up, but every time it does the UAC window pops up to ask permission. I tried the solution of going into the compatibility mode and checking Run as Administrator, but that has not helped. I even made sure that none of the other compatibility boxes were checked. Now I am not sure what to do, but I don't want to disable all UAC messages in Windows 7 because of security risks. Just want to disable the UAC when Outlook starts up each time. What should I try now?

Try the following steps:

Right click on Outlook (.exe) > Properties > Compatibility > uncheck all the boxes

To access Outlook (.exe), open the following location:

Windows 7 32bit: C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12

Windows 7 64bit: C:\Program Files(x86)\Microsoft Office\Office12

That did not change anything. The UAC window still comes up when outlook starts up.
