Outlook 2007 crashes instantly when clicking on some (not all) attachments in preview pane.
The file in question now is a file from a bank containing comma separated text. The file does not seem to have any file-extention and the file type only comes up as "file" in Windows Explorer. The name of the file is "KAF81501033677 0810 - 01 20100901". If I save it to the harddrive I can open the file in Notepad and Excel, however when I open it in Excel I get a message saying something like (translated from Norwegian) "the file has another format then what is indicated by the filename. Control that the file isn't damaged and comes from a trusted source".
I've tried deactivating all the add-ons in Outlook, used scanpst, repaired Office and deleted the folder for temporary files for Outlook. But I still have the same problem.
This is info from the event log, don't know if it will be helpful:
<ProviderName="Microsoft Office 12 Sessions" />
<Data>Microsoft Office Outlook</Data>
ID: 6, Application Name: Microsoft Office Outlook, Application Version: 12.0.6535.5005, Microsoft Office Version: 12.0.6425.1000. This session lasted 187 seconds with 60 seconds of active time. This session ended with a crash.
If anyone has a solution I'll be very happy
