We face this issue , After installing 3rd party Certificate for IIS , prompt warning for mapi clients the name on security certificate is invalid , we have self signed certificate for which smtp service is enabled , but 3rd party certificate does not have internal name for exchange and smtp service is also enabled for 3rd party certificate , i have tried to remove smtp service but not been able to do that , how can i force mapi clients to download self signed certificate , we are using exchange 2010 on single server without any service pack.

micrsoft please guide us for solution

Hi

For ex you have bought a cert for the name: mail.domain.com

Then you can set this for autodiscover, ews etc..

Set-ClientAccessServer -Identity hostname -AutoDiscoverServiceInternalUri https:// mail.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
Set-WebServicesVirtualDirectory -Identity "EWS (Default Web Site)" -internalurl:https:// mail.domain.com/EWS/Exchange.asmx
Set-UMVirtualDirectory -Identity "UnifiedMessaging (Default Web Site)" -InternalUrl:https:// mail.domain.com/UnifiedMessaging/Service.asmx
Go to Exchange Management Console:
Server Configuration => Client Access => OAB (Default Web Site) Properties: Internal URL: https:// mail.domain.com/OAB

You could also purchase a UCC Certificate and list other names like Autodiscover.company.com / mail.company.com / + your internal hostnames if you aren't using a CAS Array.

Go to www.digicert.com they have a great video explaining how to implement Certs in Exchange.
