I have multiple "in boxes" and other related accounts (i.e., drafts, sent items, etc.) under the Mail routine in Outlook 2010 - one for each e-mail account and one for the pst file that I imported from Outlook 2007 (i.e., 4 sets). I would really only like to have one set of mailboxes for all e-mail accounts. How do I do that?

What kind of e-mail accounts are they? POP3? IMAP? Hotmail? Exchange?

O.K., go to File | Account Settings | Account Settings. You'll see the list of your POP3 accounts. As you select each one, at the bottom of the dialog box you'll see a setting where you can decide which folder the mail for that account gets delivered to. Set them all to be delivered to the same folder.

Then drag/drop the mail from all of the other PST (personal folder) files into the one you've just chosen to be the default.

Once you're satisfied that you've cleaned out a PST file of everything you need, right-click it and choose Close...
