Customizing BCM

We are looking at BCM 2010 for a solid, groupware version of a PIM. We no longer have Exchange and we need something that will handle a a lot of contacts but none of the CRM stuff.




I have found where I can rename, add, etc fields but what I really need to do is delete entire sections from the BCM view to not distract the staff. I cannot seem to find a way to delete LEADS or OPPORTUNITIES for example.




Is this possible? If so, how? If not, anyone have any suggestions for a PIM on steroids that would work?

Thanks for the input... I was afraid that was the case... I looked thru slipstick but find nothing that really meets our needs. Here is a little more info in case anyone has specific recommendations




Our back-end is now Google but most people still use Outlook 2010 as the front end.




Google contacts has a terrible interface and is not with enough features to be useful for us




Many of our contacts may have multiple addresses (yes we could enter them in multiple times but better to have multiple address option)




We need to share this central contact list among 15 people




Ideally it would be web based but we can store it locally.




It must integrate to Outlook and would be great if there was some hook to Gmail




There are many CRM'ish solutions but we need <20% of those features so we would want to disable/remove to have a clean interface.




Anyone have suggestions?




The Salesforce basic solution is almost perfect. none of the CRM stuff, web based, integrates to Gmail and Outlook.. Problem is they cap it to 5 users max. If we go up the ladder with SF, price gets too much and the customization is costly...




Any help is much appreciated.
