Is it possible to Export from MS Office and Import to Windows Live Email?

Dos anyone know how, or if it is possible to import email into Windows Live Email from MS Outlook 2003. Windows live does not see my exported Outlook file. The old machine with outlook is running Windows xp. The new machine with Windows Live Email is running Windows 7.

Hope someone can help!

Yes. On the old XP machine import from outlook into Outlook EXPRESS.

Copy the ENTIRE OE message store (ensure that you have included the file called Folders.dbx) to a new folder you created in your Documents folder.

Then open WLM and import from outlook Express, navigating to the folder you created when asked.

You can use the import method as Gordon described but if you are going to decomission this old machine then you can also opt (unless you have an OEM license of Outlook 2003) to remove Outlook 2003 from it and transfer its license to the newly bought machine.

You can then continue to use Outlook 2003 on the new machine and transfer your pst-file of Outlook and connect to it via;
File-> Open-> Outlook Data File...
