Outlook 2007 won't show appointments/meetings in calendar on actual date, only on date appt/mtg made

Instead of getting a nicely blocked off period on a calendar I get a little bubble that, when clicked, gives full details about the event. I can still see upcoming events for the next 7 days in 'Outlook Today' and I can see all events in 'All Appointments' views. In Calendar mode. I can see events only by the day they're booked ... not terribly helpful. All suggestions welcomed!
