Trying to convert my BCM 2007 to 2010, and the process fails. My database is a little over 2GB in size.

The conversion routine needs to copy everything in, before it converts it and doing so, exceeds the 4GB size limit for SQL express.

Any way I can work around this, other than purchasing SQL workgroup edition???? Helllpppp.....

Rather than converting you can export and import the BCM data.

Export the BCM 2007 data using the steps below.

1. On the Business Contact Manager menu, point to Database Tools, and then click Manage Database.

2. In the Manage Database dialog box, on the Backup/Restore tab, click Back up Database.

3. In the Database Back Up dialog box, in the Back up Business Contact Manager to box, type the location for your backup file, or click Browse to select a location such as a CD drive or memory stick.

4. Please do not use any passwords. Click OK.

Import BCM 2007 data into BCM 2010 using the steps below.

1. On the Business Contact Manager (2010) menu, point to Database Tools, and then click Import and Export.

2. Click Import a file, and then click next.

3. Select the type of file that you want to import, and then click next.

4. Follow the instructions in the Business Data Import and Export wizard.
