New to OUTLOOK, I created today a .com e-mail address (through GoDaddy.com) When trying to enter the suggested server info when asked, no results...keep getting: connection to MS Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected or...cannot open your default folders (I have none, since the prior Outlook 2003 program was deleted some time ago)..and ".ost is not an Outlook data file"..help!

Thanks for the prompt reply. Followed steps to #7 of "How to create a new email profile in Outlook 2010..." then the following appears: Problem Connecting to Server (An encrypted connection to your mail server is not available. Click next to attempt using an unencrypted connection. Tried that also but same as above.

If you were creating a new Outlook profile from scratch, Outlook would not be looking for Exchange server. State the steps you are using and make sure you are using a new, unique name for the profile.Russ Valentine
