Outlook 2010. Receiving emails but they are not going into my inbox.

I have just installed Office 2010 and setting up Outlook. I can see the progress bar receiving emails but they are no where to be found. Not in the inbox, junk, deleted, no where. Where could they possibly be going. I have a new Dell studio xps windows 7. I did install this same version of outlook on my office computer which is also a Dell but it runs windows xp pro and outlook works fine. Except I have noticed that office encounters problems and needs to shut down. That's a new one. Any ideas where my mails is going.

Scroll down the folders list - it may be that you have a SECOND Inbox that you weren't aware of and the messages are going there.

You were right Ben. Under the list of personal folders (inbox, drafts, sent, deleted) was the email address for my email account. I double clicked on my address and wala, there are all my emails. Wondering why they would go there and not under the favorites tab. I'm and old dog and not sure I like these new tricks.
