When I open a message in Outlook 2010 defaults to File tab

When I open a message in Outlook 2010 it opens with the File tab selected. It used to open with the Message tab selected.

How do I change it so that the Message tab is selected when the message it opened?

The File tab is always colored; it doesn't mean that it is selected. Or are you saying that when you open a message, you don't see the message but whatever you see when you press on File manually?
