I am upgrading to Microsoft Office 2010 from M.O.2007

The upgrade/installation will do nothing to your current office files. It will only upgrade the program files. If you do an in-place upgrade, then you settings should also remain the same/similar. As always, if you are unsure, always do regular backups of your files.

No, they won't transfer because there is nothing to transfer. Your

files are not *in* Microsoft Office; they are elsewhere, most likely

in your Documents folder. If you upgrade to Office 2010, your files

should be exactly where they were before, and you will be able to

access them in Office 2010 just as you did in Office 2007.
