Move mailbox from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2010 but crossed different forest

I have 2 separate forests, one is AD 2003 + Exchange 2003 and other one is AD 2008 + Exchange 2010. I am planning to move all user accounts with mailboxes form the 2003 to the Exchange 2010. Is it possible? Any MS KB related it?

Thanks

There are tons of articles on it. You can use ADMT to migrate the accounts, and Exchange 2010's New-MoveRequest cmdlet to move the mailboxes. Google those two terms, ADMT and New-MoveRequest to begin your search. You can also Bing terms like " exchange 2010 move mailboxes between organizations" and things like that. Good luck and happy reading!Ed Crowley MVP " There are seldom good technological solutions to behavioral problems."

I would first ensure you have SP1 installed on your 2010 server Check out this link and specifically look at the post by Jonas http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/exchangesvrmigration/thread/2e3ac7b6-bac2-4821-bf63-d7c29c27133e Here is the direct link to article by Jonas http://www.testlabs.se/blog/2010/05/24/cross-forest-migration-in-lab/ http://msexchangehelp.wordpress.com/2010/03/13/cross-forest-move-mailbox-request-from-exchange-2003-to-2010/ Lastly if the above doesn't help and you want to move data via ExMerge I wouldn't suggest using it since it has a 2GB per PST limitation, instead I would suggest that you check out Lucid8's DigiScope http://www.lucid8.com/product/digiscope.asp Troy Werelius
