Hi,

I have installed office 2007 on pc first. Then remove outlook 2007 and installed outlook 2003. Now problem is outlook 2003 does not open.

It gives error message "Microsoft office outlook has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. Restart the outlook". Once restart the outlook problem still persist.

I have uninstalled Outlook 2003 via Revo uninstaller and remove the regestry keys and installed again but no help.

Kindly assist.

Hi AndyD,

Thanks for reply. Because outlook 2007 does not support public folder. So as per company policy we have to user outlook 2003 in order to access public folder.

You can access public folders in Outlook 2007/2010.

Click on the Folder List icon at the bottom left to access the folder list view, then scroll down and expand the public folders.

Hi,

Yes, Outlook 2007 also supports public folder. To view the public folder, please click the "folder view" button.

In regarding to the outlook 2003 problem, I recommend you install the outlook 2003 by another Windows profile and see if the issue persists.
