Using Outlook 2007, Windows XP. I have clicked on Tools, Options, Mail Format, Stationery and Fonts, Theme, Clear Day (stationery). This correctly produced the Clear Day wallpaper in my outgoing Emails. HOWEVER, although my default Email font is Times New Roman, size 12, Black, when I type an Email, it produces Arial, size 10, blue. Should I assume that the Arial, size 10, blue font associated with the Clear Day (stationery) theme is hard wired in and cannot be changed?

it is associated with the stationery but it can be changed - you need to find the stationery and edit it (open it in notepad). Or, open it in Outlook, change the font and save as HTML then drag the html file to the stationery folder. (i think it's under the window user account, app data folder in microsoft\stationery).

Diane,

Thanks very much for your response, but ...

I found the Clear Day html file at:

C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery\Clear Day.htm

When I open the file using Notepad, I see this:

<html><head><title id="ridTitle">Clear Day</title> <style><!-- body { font-family: Arial, Helvetica; font-size: 10pt; color: #0033cc; margin-top: 25px; margin-left: 10px; } --></style> </head> <body id="ridBody" background="Clear Day Bkgrd.JPG"><p> </p> </body> </html>

When I change the font to Times New Roman, and then click on Save, this is the error message I get:

Cannot create the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Stationery\Clear Day.htm file. Make sure that the path and filename are correct.

Do you have any idea why I cannot save the changed file, or perhaps other suggestions? Thanks. ZKEN

The save error is a windows security feature. You need to either give your user account permission to write to that folder or save to my docs an drag it to the folder in windows explorer.
