That's normal in outlook 2007 and older - outlook 2010 will do as you wish.

POP3
It's not that I'm questioning your knowledge but are you sure?

Seems hard to believe that draft folders and outbox will use the exchange server space everytime I am using the POP3 account.

Using another company's resources is not a very professional thing to do as this is what I am doing right now and what all the employees from my company would do if I add their exchange account to the POP3 one.

Thanks and again do not take this questioning in a wrong way :)

Yes, Outlook 2007 has one set of default folders - the mailbox or data file that is set as default. If you use send immediately, the outgoing messages are just in the outbox for a few seconds. If its a problem for drafts, it probably means you shouldn't have both accounts in one profile.

What if I change the default folder to point to the POP3 one?

If I do that I get the following message:

Please see attached file.

Thanks

You do not want the pst set as the default store when you have an exchange account in your profile. That will remove everything from the server, makes a mess of free/busy and other Exchange features. If using drafts and the outbox is an issue for you, you need to either use 2 profiles or get Outlook 2010 which handles separate accounts in separate data files.
