Rules to run manually and NOT automatically ?

I have dozens of rules set up to move messages to various folders - but I don't want the rules to run immediately after a message arrives - I would prefer to run rules manually once a week, either automatically or by some manual process. I can't seem to figure out if this is possible or not. The only options in the rules wizard are to 'check messages after they arrive' but no option to process on a specific time frame or to 'deactivate' so I have to run them manually. Can anyone tell me if this is possible?
