I am running Win7 and Outlook 2007. I am having a strange (to me) problem with a ghost entry in the address book that I haven't been able to solve and when all else fails I come here.
The problem revolves around the address of Joseph, one of my sons. He had a hotmail address and later got a gmail address - both were active for a while. He stopped using the hotmail address so I deleted it from the address book leaving only his gmail address. Now, when I generate a new email to him and type j in the TO field BOTH of his addresses apear in the selection list that popped up for the j entries. However, if I go directly to the address book to select his name there is no entry for his Hotmail address, only the gmail address is displayed...how is it that the old address can appear in the new email pop up address list if it is not contained in the address book? I would imagine it is cached somewhere but I have no idea where. Can anyone help me to get Josephs' ghost address completely deleted from my PC.
thanks for any feedback.
