Using Outlook Pro 2003 on XP Pro service pack3 with no problems - until I tried to sync to my new iPhone. Contacts came across fine. Calendar does not sync in either direction. Ran scanpst. Trying to export Calendar to CSV as suggested on various web pages, but trying to do so crashes Outlook immediately. Removed all recurring events. Still cannot export to CSV.
Tried to view as table. Message is: "There are no items to show in this view." Tried to use Apple's Migration Assistant to transfer to a MacBook Pro. Migration Assistant immediately says: "Error" and only allows me to close the program.

This Calendar was started a few years ago with Office 2000's Outlook. Believe I initially tried to install as Exchange, but changed to Internet only install, but no longer remember. Also think there was once two personal folders, one of which was removed - but no longer remember that either. Have been using with no problems for years since.

Tried setting up a new user, with a new personal folder and Calendar. Cannot sync that user's Calendar to iphone, or export as CSV either.

Seems that there may be something wrong with the Calendar file, but I don't know what to do.

Any help would be most appreciated - I've spent many hours on this with no progress.

Re: Cannot sync Calendar to iphone. Cannot export to CSV. Cannot view as Table

Because contacts sync, i don't think its the pst file. It's more likely related to iphone's move to CalDAV.

Does exporting to any format crash outlook? Check the event viewer and see if there are any error messages. if not, try detect and repair (help menu).

If you can export to other formats, the CSV translators might not be installed - rerun setup and choose the customize option and install all of the outlook files.

Thanks for your reply, and sorry for this delay in response. Outlook crashes when trying to export to either CSV or XLS formats. Seems ok to .pst, but not sure if all gets thru - but no crash.. Have done detect and repair, added translators by using original Outlook install disk. Afraid to remove and reinstall Outlook completely for fear I'll never get my several email accounts set up properly again, and/or I'll lose hundreds of emails in the process (are emails and account settings saved in pfbackup??)

I have the event error reports, which seem to be generated for each crash. But try as I might, I can't figure out how to attach it to this email. Have lost my response twice trying to use the attachment manager, which a complete mystery to me. It just seems to place my attachment in a window, which then disappears when I try to add it to the message. If I can send to you via email, pls let me know.

Thanks for your help.

Re: Cannot sync Calendar to iphone. Cannot export to CSV. Cannot view as Table

The error reports won't help - I don't have the tools to decode them.

As for uninstall/reinstall (or repair), you shouldn't lose your profile or pst files. If you are concerned, go to

Code:
%localappdata%\microsoft\outlook
(if using windows 7 or vista, type or copy and paste into the search box on the start menu and press enter to open windows explorer to the right location.)

Copy the outlook folder (and the pst files in it) to another location to back them up. You can't backup the profile - it might be corrupt. You could test it by creating a new profile (with just one account) and seeing if you can export to anything.
